WATER TANK MONITORING & CONTROL USING COMPARATOR IC LM324

In modern days there is a vast development in science and technology. New ideas are generated day by day. “Water tank overflow alarm with automatic motor controlled” is almost used to save the wastage of water. It is a new concept which is expected to save a lot of power and money. This project deals with the overflow or wastage of water, which is seen in our cities and town areas due to the lack of ideas or concept. This project helps a lot with glow a led to indicate the water tank is empty and the motor pump automatically starts and when it is full then ringing the buzzer and automatically off the motor pump. This is the beneficial working principle of this project. The project avoids the needs to check overflow and prevents wastage of water. This project is based on LM 324 whose output voltage is many times higher than the voltage difference between the input terminals. Two stiff copper wire is inserted in the tank containing water, as soon as the tank is empty copper wires does not conduct and circuit remains off which means when the tank dries out, the resistance between the copper wires (sensor probes A and B) increases, As a result, output op-amp is high and LED will glow to indicate that the tank is empty. When the water touches the sensor, the circuit is short-circuited and current will flow through the circuit. As a result, ringing the buzzer with automatic off the motor pump.

This project gives a piece of mind with tension free life, reduces water wastage and extra power consumption. As well as to increases water pump (motor) life and it works under a very safe circuit with negligible power consumption. If the tank is full then rings the bell or alarm with automatic motor controlled as "off state" and if the water tank is empty glow the LED (light emitting diode) which notify that the tank is blank or empty and then automatic "motor on" and fill the tank with water.
